The stunning results our customers have experienced
There were definitely many obstacles along the way but I have never felt so much in my life before. I received so much warmth and love from my host parents and siblings. They made it a must to let me try every single Polish dish, and visit castles and secret getaway places while they listened intently whenever I shared stories of myself. I taught English and did culture sharing at three schools, which were all different in so many ways. In some, I was conducting English practice sessions, while in others the school wanted to emphasize the exchange of culture. I noticed many variations in kids from diverse backgrounds, but one common thing was the desire to always come and talk to us, hug us and also have meals with us at school. Never would I have imagined myself singing over the school sound broadcast system every morning for the kids or having a sleepover at school with kids and other volunteers whilst watching Euro 2016!
Myom
Be confident. Do not let fear discourage you from achieving what you have always wanted to do. I have always wondered how it feels like to be a teacher. As such, I decided to take on this 6 weeks long AIESEC education volunteering programme to Chiayi, Taiwan. And I enjoyed every single moment. From the planning of interesting teaching materials to the execution of delivering a full English lesson. For an introvert, this has been a challenging task with many obstacles, but the passion for making a difference through teaching allows me to conquer my fears. The most valuable lesson that I learnt: Confidence comes from not fearing to always be right but from not fearing to be wrong. wrong. Learn to be bold in the face of uncertainty and you will realise that learning has no boundaries. Leadership development is a continuous process.

What are the countries I can go to?
The countries available are subjected to travel restrictions in place by the respective government. Do check out the respective embassy websites for more information.
Is the $250 refundable if my host country is affected by unforeseen circumstances (eg. pandemic, attacks)?
Yes, it is stated in the Exchange Contract that “the Exchange Participant is allowed to break acceptance and terminate the contract prior to its date of expiry if the area where the exchange is based in is formally declared to be in a state of emergency due to war, natural disasters, people revolution and terrorist attacks”.
Who do I look for if I need advice for selecting projects?
Open an account at aiesec.org and indicate your phone number. One of our friendly AIESECers will get into contact with you asap! He/she will be guiding you through the process and answering all your doubts!
Where will I be staying?
Hostel / Host family depending on the project. Do check with our AIESECers if you are unsure.
Is accommodation & food covered?
Depends on the project. Do check the opportunity page and look for the section on “Logistics”. Covered means it’s free, provided means it’s sourced for but you will have to pay for it.
Why do some projects require an extra fee on top of the $250?
This additional fee is to cover other costs such as SIM card, accomodation and other logistics. However, the things covered by the additional fee may differ from project to project, thus do check with our AIESECers to clarify!
Why do I need to pay the $250 program fee?
AIESEC is a not for profit organisation. By virtue of us being non-political and independent, we also do not get any external funding. The $250 does not cover flight ticket, VISA and additional insurance. Travel Insurance may or may not be provided for depending on your university.
